Reality shows save the day

I really don't get how I end up feeling so tired at the end of the day. You can hardly say that sitting on a semi-comfortable chair, in front of a laptop, finding ways to entertain myself is exhausting. In fact, I am torn between feeling embarrassed and lucky about my current day job. Sure I work for a prestigious brand but what have I been learning? What are the upsides of being where I am now?

I guess you can say that (1) my communication skills have improved here after months and months of getting used to speaking to people through a headset's microphone. I lost my touch and charm but I sort of feel like I got it back. Not that I was charming to begin with, I'm not the smiley person after all.

A lot of people would be jealous, and also a lot of people would lift an eyebrow at (2) being able to say that I see lots of hot people and celebrities all day as I sit behind my desk. Yes it's a lame reason but hey, every perk counts. I already had an extremely embarrassing encounter with Akihiro Sato at Serendra but seeing him and at times, Daniel Matsunaga at least once a week after his work out just completes my day. Even the Younghusbands (I know Barbara, Valen, Charlotte, Lia and Joanna would be quite jealous) had a show right smack in front of the shop. So hey, I guess it ain't that bad.

I always find myself really tired when I get home, sad part is I still have to tutor. At least when I'm here at the office, (3) I get to catch up on the latest TV shows thanks to SideReel. I've been following America's Next Top Model Cycle 16, American Idol Season 10 and Work of Art. Pretty good shows that's just my opinion. I used to be a huge TV drama nerd but nowadays I find my self attracted to the reality shows better. I loved One Tree Hill, Gossip Girla and Glee but now it becomes more of an errand for me to keep track of the shows. Friends have been telling me to watch Vampire Diaries. I have the entire Season 1 in my hard drive thanks to Barbara but I haven't even attempted to start with that. Sorry you guys! Damon Salvatore is <3 though.

And lastly I know I shouldn't be complaining about this, but (4) I would like a quick-paced day rather than a slow one since I haven't really been doing much at work lately. I hate stress cos who doesn't? But I just want to feel it somehow. I am sooooo hoping for that promotion to materialize.

Anyway, entire day at work yesterday. Pretty boring as usual save for a few walk-ins and a whole lot of show marathons. I was counting my calories but I figured a little bit of churros from Dulcinea wouldn't hurt. I got that and 8 pieces of mini cream puffs for my family. The churros tasted like solid oil dipped in chocolate. It made me feel sick. But for P98 pesos, I guess I should quit complaining.

I'm lazy but I get things done

I was really looking forward to today, I even planned out the stuff I wanted to do:

1. Work out at the gym for 2 hours.
2. Get a haircut.
3. Take a room tour video.
4. RareJob for  8 hours.

But very much like most days, something just gets in the way. I get lazy.

But hey, I got pretty close to doing it!

1. As you will be seeing below, I managed to stay at the gym for about an hour and 30 minutes. Pretty close to my initial goal right? I was crazy hyper even my trainer noticed. He said he was the one getting tired and I was unstoppable. BAHAHAHA! Awkward was he was flirting with me so I had to make up a fake boyfriend whom I've been with for a year and a half, but had to move last October to the States to study. Yup pretty much got way into the details. Not good. Oh well. Anyway I felt super good after the work out I felt I was lighter. I wish I have that much energy whenever I work out. Anyhow, here's the gym I go to, got the pics from their site:

2. In front of my gym is a Fix salon so I inquired about their rates. I was contemplating during my work out if I was gonna get a haircut now, and maybe even add in some treatments. The thing was, I would need to head home first and freshen up before I can head into the salon. That took too much work. So I ultimately decided to postpone my haircut for next weekend. HAHA lazy ass. Still confused about what kind of cut I would like though. Fooled a lot of people when I posted this up:

3. My Canon camera is broken and I need to get it fixed. It's frustrating cos the shutter just suddenly wouldn't budge. So instead, I borrowed my Mom's camera, which she needed, but she said she could bring my dad's cam instead. But since I got lazy, it was on my bed the whole day and I didn't get to use it at all. Sorry Mom. :D

4. It was a long shot but I actually managed to stay up from 8am to11am and 7pm to 12mn to finish 8 hours of tutoring. Hooray for meee!

I'm bored, here's my face

On my way to work, I was in the bus and an old lady sat beside me. I didn't mind the sun so I kept my curtains open even while I was taking a nap. When I woke up the lady saw me and asked if I wasn't too hot from the bright sun. Sweet lady. Then she started talking to me about how I should focus first on my career before getting married and having kids. She told me about herself when she was about my age, how she is with her daughter and grandchildren. She even complimented me and told me I was good looking. Heeee! She said she just got back from living in England for a few years. I love her, she was lovely. :3

But maaaan. Crazy boring and long day.

Fun that I got to see Crizel's sister Diane, their stepdad and their aunt though. Nice to see familiar faces when I'm at work.

My interview didn't push through cos the VP of the hotel chain was at the hotel. So everyone was pretty busy. I guess it's okay, it gives me more time to prepare myself, cos I'm pretty nervous about it.

Watched America's Next Top Model Cycle 16 and the two latest episodes of American Idol Season 10. Finished both until the most recent ones. Had a couple of people come in but that's it I guess.

I'm glad parents were able to pick me up cos I was craaazy tired. Pretty cranky too.

So since this is gonna be a short post, here is a picture of my golden self.

And another one.

Reunited and it feels so effin good

Yesterday became an unplanned cheat day and I feel like poop cos of it.

is evil

Janine and I watched the current cycle of ANTM while indulging in Baked Doritos and Pillows, which I shouldn't be allowed to be doing. Which is perfect cos watching skinny and gorgeous models just made me hate myself for eating and made me kept on eating cos I felt depressed. But it was pretty much a sabaw day at the office but hey, we're smart, we figured out how to defeat boredom.

Jom "the soccer player from Cebu" is in Manila and texted me that he was going to Makati (where I worked) yesterday afternoon. So that night I was in the shop, secretly watching reruns of America's Next Top Model Cycle 16 when the door opened and Nicole and Jom were there. Had dinner at Pepperlunch although I sort of already had dinner a few hours before that =( It was fuuuun catching up with them though. Attempted blowing Jom's ego up and succeeded. So bad ass that we were all affiliated to one hotel chain. Steph and her friend, Barney followed. Flew from Bicutan to Magallanes in a matter of seconds. Had to run back to the shop then the hotel to time out and return my uniform while they had a yo-break.

Headed to National Sports Grill for drinks and dinner for Steph and Barney. My Strawberry Daiquiri tasted like cough medicine. It was gross but I had to drink it cos I felt bad for my wallet. Already tried out a drink there before and hated it, should've learned my lesson then.

It was crazy fun getting to hang with them again. Too bad Florence and Berna were missing in action; would've been totally perfect.

Food intake (April 14, 2011)

4 trips to and from the hotel and the shop (brisk walking pace) toting heavy laptop bag

Work (1pm to 9pm)

Bleh.

Need more inspiration. I sort of felt kind of down about something yesterday and it translated to how I look, felt and acted. Not sure if I'm comfortable sharing whatever it is I have pooping in my head so for now I'll keep it in the dark.

I don't like losing people. Of course in the literal sense, no one wants to lose someone cos of death, but by this I mean I don't like people I am close to suddenly become distant. I'm a clingy person in general. I'm clingy with my family, my friends, and I admit even to my special someones.

I am like The Rash.

I need today to be happy. I'll figure it out.

In the meantime, I leave you with two awesome comic artists whom you probably already know, but I will mention them anyway.

That's it for now. Toodles <3

I'm cashless but I've got a nice quote for you

Found a quote that I can strongly live by.

"Do not exchange what you want most for what you want at the moment."

See, I even turned it into my wallpaper via Paint.

Been getting inspiration from looking at weight loss blogs in Tumblr and Pinterest accounts. There's something about seeing other people going through the same thing as you are. It makes me feel like I have a shot at getting what I want because other people can do it. I've always been the person who needed motivation to get something done. These people are my motivation. Here are the two best blogs for me that I've encountered so far.

Uyen Dee's Inspiration board at Pinterest.

I got this in the bag. Plus I have my American Idol/Biggest Loser friend to motivate me. Shout out to Alaska! WOO!

I'm awkward but give me a shot

Okay. Well I've been putting off this blogging thing for way too long. The idea that I have too much free time is open to argument. But the thing is I don't really have much freedom.

So here it is. I'm finally doing it. Here we go.

The awkwardness of the first blog post is always forgivable. Do I tell you about myself? Do I rant about my entire life from diapers and binkies to g-strings and makeup? No I do not wear g-strings. So where do I begin?

Okay. So let me just run you through some random things because frankly, I'm on my toilet seat right now, my feet's blood circulation is getting cut off and I can't get up and back to my room.

1. Missinsecurity

So my friends have taken a liking to saying "INSECURITIES!!" every time I make a comment about how I hate that I'm not a size zero, how I hate that my face is shaped like Spongebob, how I hate that my arms can go against Pacquaio in a match (and obviously not win), and other ramblings even when I'm not even pertaining to myself - which shouldn't count. HAHA. Well I admit I am quite insecure. There's no contest in that department.

2. Fitness and Work

The reason I decided to start this blog today (when I distinctly remember telling my friend that I would make a post last night) is because I wanted to keep track of my new lifestyle - which I am inching and struggling my way towards. I joined a gym near beside my village and got a personal trainer worth 8 sessions. Also, I'm not sure yet if I am comfortable sharing numbers. Let's see where this takes me.

Also, I work two jobs. The first one takes up most of my day but I basically just sit there and figure out a way to entertain myself. Save for those special occasions where there are actually people coming in. The second one I can do at home, on my bed, with no movement. So I'm literally stationary most of the day.

3. Myself

I've been 21 since last February. My favorite colors are Red and Black. I love Japanese food, volleyball, movie and TV show marathons, sketching, shopping and obsessing about my weight. I stand 5 feet and 5.5 inches and let's just say I'm not at peace with my weight yet, so it better budge. I have the coolest parents and three of the most annoying handsome brothers (could be a biased opinion but meh) and awesome friends. What more can I ask? Weight loss. I just need to really stick to it.

And then.

Photo taken during sister Mary Monzon's 18th Birthday <3 Luff!

Chatted up with my girl friends via Skype the entire afternoon. Talked about getting thin and our planned sleepover/swimming/photo shoot next week. I love them to death and I can't friggin wait.

And just cos this is my blog, I'll make a list of the things I want to do when I find the time to do it.

1. Get a haircut. Well, no. Maybe a trim. Or should I go all out and get a bob?
2. Try yoga. I don't know much about it but I get curious whenever my cousin tells me how her sessions go.
3. Watch Hereafter, Love and Other Drugs and Friends with Benefits.

Well that's about it for now. Toodles <3
